I plan on her wardrobe being as impressive as mine. Now I just need to learn to make doll wigs or how to install a doll weave! LOL. We had quite the photo session

A New Arrival
A new girl has moved into the house. My Dena arrived yesterday. She's a plus size girl. Of course she was stark naked and barefoot so I had to quickly make her an outfit and shoes as there are lots of men in the house. I wish I'd been able to get a Dasia but sometimes you just have to take what you get. I noticed there is a difference between the coloring of her body and face. Also as I was separating the curls in her hair several locks came off and some other are just disintegrating. Is that normal? At this rate I'm going to have to learn to reroot or make wigs.
I crocheted the top but need to tweak the pattern some. I added different color to her eyelids and lips. The shoes are made out of cardstock, craft foam and elastic. The necklace is one I made which all the dolls have to share. She made a quick stop by the Man Cave and may have already found herself a man. She'll fit perfectly into another project I already have going.

A Touch of Red
Last week's clothing capsule was such a big hit with my dolls. I was encouraged to make another small collection. I'm call this one "A Touch of Red" because the accessories are the only red. This too is a hit. I might have to take a little time and sew something for myself!
This collection includes a halter dress, a halter top with contrasting thread, a crocheted tank top, high waist wide leg pants, a skirt with flounce and lace capelet.

Summer Clothing Collection
Instead of just making random doll clothes, I decided to try my hand at making a collection of sorts.
The white top is a Simplicity sewing pattern but the other pieces are original and drafted by me. I really like the outcome. I wasn't sure the large print would work but it did. I'm currently working on another collection and it is coming along nicely.

Thrift Store Dolls
I stop by one of my favorite thrift stores today and picked up a couple of dolls.
She was only $1.09 but she needs serious hair intervention.
This Ken had been removed from the box and as you can see was only $4.69. I have several Ken's already but couldn't resist. Of course I removed him from the box the second I walked in the door!
I bought this doll on eBay and while I'm pretty sure she'll get a makeover...
She's found her prince! Maybe she need to remain a princess?

New (to me) Doll Additions
I've added some new dolls to my doll community. Here's two recent additions. I'm not really a Monster High collector but Robecca Steam will fit in perfectly with my coffee shop diorama and Frankie Stein although marked $2.69 (Salvation Army) was only rang up at .99 after I complained that Goodwill fashion dolls are usually only .99!
I purchased this doll from ebay. She has a Holiday Barbie face and a Disney doll body. I love her face and that she's articulated. The only problem with the articulation is that when sitting, she can't close her legs. That is so NOT ladylike!
On the other had she does have articulated ankles and can wear heels or flats...SCORE!
